YOU'RE LOOKING FINE, BABY, AIEEEE! While attending Sunday
services, Tushaun Jamel Thompson was apparently casting an appreciative
eye at another woman in the church, which his wife, Sedonia, did not
like one little bit.
She made this very clear to him in no uncertain terms as they walked to
the
parking lot, and continued to do so once they were in the car. Her fury
helped him decide to walk home, and then, police say, she tried to run
him down.
The cops said she missed twice as he dodged her, but then her husband
just stood in the middle of the road, convinced that Sedonia wouldn't
try a third time to actually hit him with the car. Wrong.
The Covington, La., cops said she sent him flying about 20 feet, and
they charged her with attempted murder. She said it was an accident.
A GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING: Jeane Lewis, 43, a married woman
eager to bring her impotent boyfriend up to snuff, got him fitted with a
penile implant. Her mistake was charging it to her health insurance, and
claiming that the boyfriend was her husband.
The husband discovered this as he was going through the mail. She has
been convicted of fraud and forgery, and, to make matters worse, the
boyfriend has fled to Haiti, penile implant and all.
YOU'VE GOT MAIL: Arabs can divorce their wives simply by saying,
"I divorce you," but one man took this a step further: He sent
his wife a divorce e-mail.
A court in the United Arab Emirates is considering whether or not this
satisfies Islamic law.
A VERY BAD OUTCOME: As soon as she got home from buying beer,
Bonita Moore got into a ferocious argument with her 350-pound husband,
Darrell, who accused her of drinking too much and spending the rent
money on booze.
Push came to shove, and he ended up on top of her where he stayed for
about 15 minutes, police say, crushing her and causing her death.
The Englewood, Colo., man was being held on suspicion of murder.
WELL, SHE SEEMS TO KNOW HER STUFF: On her way to an interview for
a job in the emergency room of Waukesha, Wis., Memorial Hospital, Shelly
Klug saw a violent two-car crash and stopped to help save the life of
one of the victims.
She used her own medical equipment to help stabilize the young woman
until the ambulance arrived.
Though she was two hours late for her interview, a hospital vice
president
said she is "a very strong candidate" for the job.
