COULD YOU DESCRIBE THE VEHICLE? A man stole a backhoe from a Tennessee construction site, drove it about a mile and smashed it through the wall of a school from which he stole computer equipment. He then fled the scene of the crime in the backhoe.
He was arrested after his caper was witnessed by several people who informed the authorities.

HMMMMM, THINK I'LL TRY 'COED'S HEARTTHROB': A junior at the University of Delaware, failing badly in several of her classes, broke into the school's computer system, and changed her grades from Fs to As.
She did this by making an unauthorized request for new passwords for two teachers and guessing a third teacher's password.

HE HAS TROUBLE GETTING UP IT: A quadriplegic sued the Wildside Adult Sports Cabaret in West Palm Beach, Fla., for not providing wheelchair access to the lap-dancing room.
The room, where strippers dance thisclose to eager patrons, is at the top of a short flight of stairs.

THE KISS OF DEATH: A California man had a very bad breakup with his live-in girlfriend, and threatened to kill her if she ever dated another man.
Before he left the home they shared last month, police say, he injected her lipstick with insecticide. She is OK. He has been arrested.

HOW MUCH FOR THIS? An Alaskan circus performer on tour in Scotland was trying on a blouse at a shop in Edinburgh when a clerk mistakenly sold her $1,800 bicycle which she had brought inside for safety. The price $15.
The shop owner apologized profusely but refused to give her the money from the sale.
