IN TEXAS, THERE'S SOME THINGS YOU JUST DON'T DO: A Texas man shot his longtime friend to death after discovering that the friend drank his last beer.

AT THE SAME TIME, IT'S HARD TO FEEL SORRY FOR HIM: A Florida man wants his name removed from the state's sexual offender Web site because it's interfering with his love life.
He went to jail for sexually abusing a 5-year-old girl who he had bought for $230.
He complains that, when his girlfriend saw this on the web site, she left him.

NO, BUT I'M FLATTERED AT YOUR INTEREST: The son of Britain's Lord Chancellor became infatuated with a young woman he met at a tanning salon in California, but she told him she was not interested as she already had a boyfriend.
So he repeatedly called her and made many unwanted advances, then threatened the boyfriend and threw acid on his truck.
He has been convicted of stalking and will spend the next year in jail before being deported to England.

MAYBE HE DID IT AS A JOKE: Tonga's King Taufa'ahau Tupou IV appointed an American banker as court jester at the man's request, and also put him in charge of some of the South Pacific island nation's investments.
The court jester is now accused of stealing $26 million from the South Pacific island nation.
It is a major scandal in Tonga, and the king has filed a lawsuit against the man who now lives in northern California.

CRAZY LIKE A FOX: An 80-year-old homeless man was found wandering the streets of Milan, Italy, and was brought to a psychiatric ward.
There, it was discovered he had $30,000 in his pockets.
