BUT ISN'T THAT SHOWING FAVORITISM: A 35-year-old New Jersey teacher had sex with one of her seventh-graders at least 20 times starting when he was 13, police say.

IT JUST WASN'T HIS DAY: Young thugs stole a motorist's mobile phone while he was parked at a gas station in Herne, Germany. He went after them them on foot.
Five minutes later, a car pulled up next to him, and three men claiming to be plainclothes police got out. They stole his wallet and drove off.

AN UNPREDICTABLE PASSENGER: After a Florida woman accidentally ran over a crocodile, she stopped and loaded the 6-foot-long animal into the back seat of her car and took it home where she tried to nurse it back to health.
Told by her neighbors that it is illegal to possess an crocodile, she put the animal back in her car and set out to find a pond in which to release it. The croc came to and started thrashing its tail causing the woman to crash into a mailbox. She had to abandoned her car and called the police.

HEY, THAT SOUNDS LIKE FUN! Three people used e-mail to invite men to an orgy in a Michigan hotel where, for $15, they could have sex with prostitutes "going for world records in sexual activities." Photos of the event were subsequently posted on the Internet.
Some of the 40 men who responded traveled hundreds of miles to participate. The organizers have been arrested.

SHE'S A BIG, STRAPPING LASS: A statue commissioned by West Virginia officials to honor the state's female veterans has come under fire. Critics think it is a bit on the masculine side.
One state senator said, "It was hard to tell from looking at it that it represented a woman."
