NEVER A COP AROUND WHEN YOU NEED ONE: A policeman in Millcreek Township, Pa., siphoned gasoline from his patrol car, unaware that he was being videotaped by other policemen who apparently suspected him of doing this before. He was arrested.

IT WAS FIELD RESEARCH, OFFISHER: The coordinator of a DUI program in Georgia was arrested for driving under the influence.

END OF DISCUSSION! Unable to come to an agreement with her estranged husband regarding money, a Brentwood, N.Y., woman hit him with her minivan.

OK, OK, I GET THE MESSAGE: A woman on a trolley car in Ratigen saw a man masturbating a few rows ahead of her. She reported this to the driver who used the loudspeaker to tell him to stop. He did so and exited the trolley at the next stop.

FUN'S OVER, BOYS: Two young men, drove through Spring Hill, Fla., late at night, smashing mailboxes with a baseball bat.
They didn't realize that they had the attention of a deputy sheriff who happened to be nearby when they hit the first mailbox. The cop saw them driving away and followed them as they smashed three more mailboxes. They stopped when he arrested them.
