IN OTHER WORDS, A CLASSY SENDOFF: A 53-year-old woman who leads an animal rights group in London has written a will ordering that, after she dies, she be barbecued and her skin used to make leather products. She has also ordered that her feet be cut off and used as umbrella stands. This is to protest man's bad treatment of animals.
It is unlikely that her wishes will be carried out.

IT DOES SEEM A BIT HARSH: A convicted felon was released from prison and told that he was not allowed to possess or use firearms. But he didn't think that applied to deer hunting. It did.
After he was caught hunting on his wooded property in Hovey Township, Pa., he told the judge, "I wasn't in a bank with an automatic weapon. I wasn't carjacking someone ... I wasn't in a bar with a gun. I was hunting."
Too bad. He got the mandatory sentence: 15 years in prison.

ISN'T THAT VIGILANTISM? Hordes of ravenous wild pigs have been terrorizing villagers in Giresun, Turkey, rampaging through the area and eating up all the crops.
Authorities have armed the villagers and instructed them to shoot on site.

SO, AT LEAST, THEY WON'T BE CRIME VICTIMS: The drug-infested favela slums of Rio de Janeiro are so dangerous that police patrol the area in a blimp five miles above, well out of the range of handguns.
To be on the safe side, the two-man crew sits in a bullet-proof cabin.

THE WAGES OF SIN: The Daily Planet, Australia's largest brothel, has started selling shares on the nation's stock market. On the first day, the company raised $2.2 million on its initial public offering.
Shares were offered at 31 cents each, and debuted higher at 43 cents. By late trading, shares continued to rise (Get it? Rise? Heh Heh) to 59 cents each.
