June 29, 2003 SEE!? I WARNED YOU: A spooky film about a possessed housewife,
now being screened in New Delhi, India, is so scary that it starts with
a warning to people with heart problems. I KNOW WHAT I DON'T LIKE: The Boulder, Colo., Public Library set up an art exhibit made up entirely of "Trash Objects" found at scenic spots throughout the city. The library janitor, apparently no art aficionado, threw it away. REGRETS (STAB) I'VE HAD A FEW (STAB): A man attempted to sing
the Frank Sinatra classic "My Way" at a birthday party in
Caloocan, Philippines, but couldn't carry a tune. ENHANCING THE STUDENT-TEACHER BOND: A California teacher took her 15-year-old student to Las Vegas where she had sex with him during a three-day stay in a hotel there. She got two years in prison and can never teach again. FOR SOME REASON, I FEEL HEMMED IN: A young, 20-foot-long whale
swimming in the Northern Pacific took a side trip into Puget Sound and traveled
a few miles up the Skagit River before realizing he was no longer in the
wide water.
