October 26, 2003 NO, NO, THAT'S STIFF 'UPPER LIP': Six 13-year-old schoolboys,
responding to a dare, took the erection-enhancing drug Viagra, and were
taken to the hospital as a precaution until the effects wore off. DRUGS? FROM AMERICA? Normally, drugs are smuggled from
Colombia into the United States. So police in Bogotá were surprised to
find 180 pounds of cocaine hidden aboard a commercial airliner that had
just come in from Miami. PEEK-A-BOO, I SEE YOU: Responding to widespread police
bribery, officials in Mexico City have installed closed-circuit
television cameras on city street corners. BUT WAS IT FUN FOR HIM? A man walking to a bus stop in
Edinburgh, Scotland, at about 11 p.m. was attacked by four teenage
girls. They knocked him down and kicked and stomped on him until they
were confronted by another man who lived nearby. POSING FOR HIS 'WANTED' POSTER: A masked man burst into a
betting parlor in Manchester, England, grabbed a bunch of money from the
safe and headed for the door. But, he was a bit to quick at removing his
mask, pulling it off as he fled, and found himself standing barefaced in
front of the last surveillance camera near the door.
