Hit Counter

December 21, 2003

SO, BASICALLY, HE HAD TO GO: A female prison guard in Colorado has been accused of hiring a hit man to kill her husband.
She wanted it done for two reasons: she wanted to collect on his life insurance and she wanted to continue having sex with a prison inmate which her husband would have objected to if he found out.

A LADY SHOULD REFER TO THAT AREA AS 'DOWN THERE:' The town clerk of Bluffton, S.C., refused a request by actors to use the auditorium at town hall for one night to stage a performance of "The Vagina Monologues.'' She objects to the title.

WHAT'S A MOTHER TO DO? A 21-year-old woman in Lewisburg, Pa., paid a teenager in marijuana to baby-sit her children. Police said she needed a babysitter so she could go out and buy heroin.

ALWAYS PAY IN CASH: A man stole $150,000 from the company he worked for in Philadelphia then jumped in his car, picked up a couple of strippers and headed for Miami.
But, rather than pay the toll at a booth in Annapolis, Md., for some reason, he filled out a form promising to pay later. He used his real name. A routine check by the clerk resulted in  his arrest

CHECKOUT COUNTER RAGE: A woman in the checkout counter of a grocery store in Enola, Pa., asked the lady in front of her, who was having a problem with her coupons, if she was going to be much longer. The coupon lady got mad and cursed her. Then she went outside and told her husband, police say, who pulled into a handicapped space and waited for the other lady to come out. Then, the cops say, he shoved her and knocked over her shopping cart. He has been charged with assault.
