TIME TO TRY TAKING FEWER BATHS: Since his water bill is usually about $55 a month, a Corpus Christi, Tex., man was very surprised when he received his latest bill - for $7,714,510.21. He's not paying.

A LITTLE SHORT ON CUSTOMER RELATIONS: A 43-year-old woman, speaking to a teller about her account at a bank in St. Cloud, Minn., jokingly told her to hand over all the money. After the customer left, the teller called the cops and had her arrested at her home. She spent the night in jail as a result.

THIS HIDEOUT IS TAKEN: Three petty criminals on the run from the law fled into in the attic of a house in Daytona Beach, Fla. Once there, they discovered the skeletal remains of a human body. They immediately surrendered to police.

THE BLOOM IS OFF THE ROSE, SO TO SPEAK: Fourteen years ago, Mohsen al-Harithy of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, named his son Saddam Hussein. Due to subsequent events, he is now seeking to have the name changed.

THIS TIME, WE'RE SURE: An undertaker in Clovis, N.M., was about to embalm the body of Felipe Padilla, age 94, who had been declared dead at a nearby hospital, when he noticed that Felipe was still breathing. He was rushed back to the hospital, where he died.
