CLANK! WHAT HAVE WE HERE?
A couple in Ohaupo, New Zealand, found a four-ton Army tank buried
in
their garden.
IT’S A DOG-EAT-DOG WORLD OUT THERE:
A convict escaped from prison in Latvia five years ago but found it
difficult to hold down jobs and evade the authorities at the same time.
So
he finally went back to the Vecumnieki penitentiary and asked to be let
back in.
HEY MISTER, YOU OK?
After a 67-year-old drunk was hit by a car in Plovdiv, Bulgaria,
police
did a blood-alcohol test on him, and were astounded to find he had a
level
of .914. To put that astronomical number into perspective, a person with
a
level of .08 is considered too drunk to drive, and level of .55 is
considered life-threatening. Essentially, You could have performed
surgery on this man without anesthetic, and he wouldn't have noticed.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT’S NOT ILLEGAL!?
Some 600 policemen who have been issuing traffic tickets in Bangkok,
Thailand, failed a test on traffic law. Their ticket books have been
confiscated.
BUT, BUT, I’VE OFFERED YOU MONEY!
Corruption in Uganda is so rampant that two policemen were given a
reward for doing their jobs. They were guarding a store where secondary
school exams were being stored before being administered to secondary
school students. Robbers arrived and offered them a bribe to let them
steal
the tests. The policemen said no, and arrested them. This, apparently,
is
very unusual.
